Title : The Miracle of Complete Forgiveness By : Lester Young
Have you ever felt like you've missed it so badly, or messed up things in your life so thoroughly that there's no way God could ever or would ever want to do anything with you again? I kinda think that if you're breathing, you've probably wrestled with it at some point or another and if you're like most of us, you lost the match. And, if you're like most of us well, I'll just go ahead and put it out there you got duped!

Let me ask you another question, since we're here and talkin' all nice and friendly: if you're born again and Jesus is your Lord and Savior, how do you think God felt about you before you got saved? Did Jesus' shed blood extend to and work to cleanse everybody except you? You think God didn't know who you were and what you were about before He accepted your decision to turn to Jesus? Yeah, He knew you, He knew what He was getting into, and He threw open His arms of Love anyway and said, "Y'know, I can work with this person." He gladly did that for all of us, before we were even a part of His family, while we were still in sin! (Romans 5:8) Now, if that was His attitude before we received membership into His household by Christ Jesus, do you really think He'd turn His back on you now that you're His child, just because you screwed up even really, really, realllly badly?

He won't. He just won't. You may find everyone else making themselves scarce. The dog might not come near you anymore. Even the fish move to the other side of the bowl when you walk into the room. But the Lord has already promised long before we managed to sink our own ship that He would never, ever leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6; Joshua 1:5; Hebrews 13:5). He'll never toss you away. God loves you just as much as He loves Jesus (John 17:23), and tossing Jesus away never entered God's mind even when He became sin on our behalf (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus bore our sin and the penalty for it so we wouldn't have to; His blood paid the necessary price for our sin and also ratified the new Covenant that God would make with His people (Jeremiah 31:31; Luke 22:20; Hebrews 8:8, 13, 12:24; 1 John 2:2).

If God loved us so much before, how could He love or even think less of us now that we've made Him the Dad? (Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:6) He couldn't. He wouldn't. Quite the contrary. In fact, now that we're in Christ, we have even more access to God's life, power and grace (Romans 5:10). When we confess our sin to Him (and He already knew about it the whole time, by the way), He not only promised to forgive us of it, but also to cleanse us from all its effects (1 John 1:9). He's not even mad at us over it He swore in Isaiah 54:9 that He wouldn't be, and I take Him at His Word. Jesus' blood isn't just for our initial salvation it keeps on cleansing and protecting us, and will continue to do so until we're presented to the Father (Matthew 28:20; John 17:12; Jude 24).

So, don't let the devil's 'condemnation' trick (Romans 8:1) keep you from going to God, regardless of what you've done or how badly you feel about it. God's not out to condemn you; if He were, He could have easily done so by just not bothering to send Jesus in the first place. He's our justifier, not our condemner (Romans 8:33). Complete forgiveness is the way of His Kingdom.

Listen, God's not ever going to change His mind about calling you or giving you the gifts He's endowed you with (Romans 11:29; 1 Corinthians 12:7). He knew what He was getting when He picked you a true pearl. You just need a little polishing up. Just like all the rest of us.
